![]() ![]() TLDR: Lost two 50+ Gem of Eases of two separate hardcores when "dying" exiting the game despite no enemies nearby.ĮDIT 01: CONFIRMED - If you're in a bounty or rift and have been playing and suddenly exit the game despite monsters attacking or even being around, you will lose your hardcore character. Is there something I don't know? Is this a hardcore mechanic to NOT exit the game despite being in town, being in mid-rift with no enemies nearby, or even patiently waiting for the timer for ten seconds? No "slain by:" parameter, just a blank death. So after exiting I log back on and on both occasions my hardcore died. Note, I didn't die before the ten second counter for exiting. Two times where I was leveling two separate hardcore characters I managed to go back to town and exit the game with one hardcore character and another time I exited the game in mid-rift with no enemies nearby. Over time, I managed to level some Gem of Eases and accumulated some Azurewraths to speed level single hardcores. In Diablo III, player death wears down the players equipment, damaging its durability by 10 (from level 10 and upwards). I've got one level 70 barb in hardcore that's basically my "spin-to-win" character to farm, level, and skill for all my upcoming new characters. So this is the second time this happened to me in the past year.
